Workshop Description
By popular demand, we are offering a course for those looking to continue the momentum in their ceramics journey! The Beginner+ Pottery workshop is open to those who have completed a Pottery on the Wheel Workshop in the past. This 6 week program will provide 15 hours of time on the wheel with renowned ceramicists to build on your previous learning. Instructor: Jen Baird
Participants have the option of purchasing a 25-pound sleeve of clay ($30) from the arts centre in advance (click here), at the time of the workshop with the option to buy more if desired, or bring their own. If bringing your own clay, please contact SJAC before the workshop to confirm that it is safe for our kiln.

Duration: 6 weeks
Registration Fee: $365
Supplies Fee: On or before the first session students must purchase a sleeve of clay $30
Skill Level Prerequisite: Completion of pottery on the wheel course or equivalent

Meet your instructor:
Jennifer Baird is a New Brunswick based teacher, potter, and multi-media artist. Her paintings and work in clay feature soft lines and organic forms inspired by the colours and topography of the wild maritime coastlines of home and away. A graduate of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, Jennifer holds bachelor’s and graduate degrees in education and is currently pursuing doctoral studies. Jennifer is looking forward to sharing the creative processes and techniques involved in crafting handmade pottery.
