The Portfolio Development Program sponsored by the Saint John Arts Centre and generously funded the James Venner Russell Foundation, completes its 8th year with the student exhibition, Sculptural, Linear, Expressionist, Fierce, Formal, Shapely, Traditional.
The Portfolio Development Program is unique in the Province of New Brunswick and possibly well beyond our borders. Students experience quality instruction from professional artists/educators who introduce new media, encourage idea generation and involve students in serious critique of their work. Guidance is offered to students in making post-secondary application to art schools and for scholarships. The Arts Centre itself gives students unparalleled exposure to exhibiting artists, as well as the chance for student participation in a major show. The Portfolio Development Program takes pride and pleasure in contributing to the growth of our future artists.
