SJAC’s educational workshops are designed for a positive learning environment that is enriching and fun for everyone!
Please keep these important policies in mind for workshops so that everyone in the classroom, students and instructors, can focus on the class:
- Phones/electronics: please minimize phone/electronics distractions such as alert noises, ringers, etc. as much as possible by putting your phone on vibrate only or silent mode during class. Our workshops are in a relaxed setting, so there’s always a nearby space to step out of the class to respond to important calls.
- Adult classes are ‘no kid visitor’ zones: please note that SJAC does not have childcare facilities, and that infants and children are not permitted to join parents/guardians in adult classes.
- Kid classes are ‘no adult visitor’ zones: parents and guardians of kids taking classes during open gallery hours are more than welcome to stay and enjoy the artwork or have a seat to relax in our rotunda or the library/boardroom on level 3. However, they are not permitted to stay in the childrens’ classroom.
- Service animals only: dogs and other pets are not allowed in the workshop or gallery spaces, with the exception of service animals.
