Pottery on the Wheel


Please note that masks are highly encouraged but not mandatory in these workshops.

Workshop Description

The ancient craft of pottery is explored with instructor Molly Davidson as she guides you through the fundamentals of throwing on the wheel. You will create a number of functional vessels, bowls or plates while immersed in a friendly community at the Saint John Arts Centre. Space is limited to four students per class for plenty of time on the wheel, and hands-on personal instruction.

  • Wednesdays – October 25, November 1, 8, 15, 2023
  • Thursdays – October 26, November 2, 9, 16, 2023

New October start dates for Intro Pottery will be announced soon, with registration opening mid-September.

Duration: 4 weeks

Fees: $275 (includes instruction, clay, use of tools and equipment, glazing and firing of finished pieces)

Skill level: Beginner

Capacity: 6 students

About your Instructor

Molly Davidson is a small batch potter who attended the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design and completed her Ceramics Diploma in 2013. She creates functional stoneware pieces inspired by new things all the time and has been at the Arts Centre since 2019.
