After two years’ absence and 2022’s ‘online edition’, SJAC’s popular fundraiser is back LIVE for 2023 to answer the burning question, ‘What’s in the Box?’!
When is ‘What’s in the Box?’
Thursday, April 20, 7-9pm, join us for an entertaining evening of delicious food, fine drink, and an opportunity to support your community arts centre! (A $25 tax receipt can be issued for each $75 ticket.) Please note that online ticket purchasers will be added to our guest list at the door, and do not require a a physical ticket.
What actually *is* in the box?
By filling out a ballot (or more than one), you’ll have the unique chance to purchase for $100 a ‘mystery box’ containing an original artwork, which has been generously donated by one of over 50 local professional artists.
If you’re not one of the lucky 50 whose ballot is drawn, maybe you’ll see a work you’d like to own in the one-night-only exhibition of works by our donor artists!
(Please note that the ballot/chance to be drawn is not part of the event ticket price and is entirely optional. Attendees who choose to take part in the draw commit to buying one of the ‘mystery boxes’ of art for $100 if their ballot is drawn.)
Why support this fundraiser?
Funds from this event support our programs, including our important Artists’ Rights Fees program, to support the artists who share their works in the galleries of SJAC.
Please note: face masks are encouraged while not actively eating or drinking.
