Back by popular demand! Join instructor Angela Black and find your creative outlet through this introductory bookbinding workshop. You will fashion beautiful pages with drawing elements, decorative papers, and other found objects that make up the content of your books. Design and produce your very own ‘zine’, while exploring three distinctive bookbinding techniques in a fun and exciting learning environment.
Workshop supply kits will be purchased from the instructor for $10 on the day of the class. The instructor will provide tools to share with the class.
If participants wish, they may also bring along decorative papers, ribbons, etc, from home to embellish their work.

In the unfortunate event that the local Saint John Zone must ‘move back’ to stricter social distancing policies and workshops must be cancelled, participants will be refunded for cancelled classes.

About the Instructor:
Angela Black is a community change-maker and inspired arts educator. Angela provides accessible art programs utilizing a transformational teaching approach at ‘Open Your Art’, the art atelier that she founded, as well as at NBCCD and for many other organizations throughout New Brunswick. Angela feels a personal calling to provide supportive opportunities for creative expression for adults and youth impacted by trauma, members of the Disability community, as well as underserved groups. Angela uses her position as a leader to inspire people of all ages to find and open their individual creativity. Illustrating with watercolour and ink, printmaking, and bookbinding are Angela’s ultimate media.
