Meet our Instructors: Nathan Cann

Maritime-born, Nathan Cann spends his days dabbling in new media, experimental printmaking, and far-far-far too many chemicals.

When not tied down, he can be found wandering Canadian lands in search of heritage and ghosts – relentless industries keeping afloat Atlantic Canadian narratives even if those tales find themselves misguided. Although previous work has been localized primarily within the Atlantic, current works expand on this notion in an effort to uncover the more modern, unseen chronicles in which only an outsider might distinguish.

Nathan completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University and now teaches traditional and experimental monotype, relief, and etching printmaking processes at the Saint John Arts Centre, various workshops and residencies about Atlantic Canada.
