Indigo Dyeing Weekend Workshop

Back by popular demand! Join Tzigane Caddell for a two-day introduction to learning the fundamentals of Indigo dyeing, using Shibori resist techniques on cotton. You’ll begin by stitching patterns on, and Indigo-dyeing, a hanky. Students will create Shibori resists on cotton yardage, a bandana and a large fine cotton shawl, which will be dyed in indigo. (Featured photo shows the amazing results from the recent one-day workshop!)

UPDATE: Starting March 17, 2020, SJAC’s galleries and offices will be closed, and all workshops, events, and programs are also suspended. This decision is based on the Government of NB’s recommendations for all public spaces to close due to the developing situation with the COVID-19 virus. We are keeping registration open for select workshops for future dates, which will be rescheduled from the original dates seen in the listing. Folks already registered / partway through workshops are being contacted with updates. Stay safe!
