Textile & Fibre Monotype

Artist and printmaker Maria Doering will give you a glimpse into the endless experimental possibilities of monotype printmaking using textile and fibre materials. Students will manipulate non-toxic Akua Printmaking ink on a Plexiglas plate combining it with found materials and mark-making through the use of cotton swabs, toothpicks, brushes and pencils to then print it on paper.

Participants are encouraged to bring along their favourite yarn, fibre, lace, curtain and fabric scraps to experiment with. Other Materials will be provide. Please bring an old t-shirt or apron as printmaking can be as messy as it is fun. No previous experience required, this workshop makes a great evening learning something new for experienced creatives and newbies alike!

Thursday, June 28, 2018, 6:30pm – 9:30pm • Cost: $50 • All printmaking supplies included. Max 8 participants.
