Artist and printmaker Maria Doering will give you a glimpse into the endless experimental possibilities of monotype printmaking using found plant materials. Students will manipulate non-toxic Akua Printmaking ink on a Plexiglas plate combining it with found materials and mark-making through the use of various materials including cotton swabs, toothpicks, brushes and pencils.
Participants are encouraged to bring along leaves, flowers, and other interesting plant materials from their gardens. Please bring an old t-shirt or apron as printmaking can be as messy as it is fun. No previous experience required, this workshop makes a great evening learning something new for experienced creatives and newbies alike!
Wednesday, June 27, 2018, 6:30pm – 9:30pm • Cost: $50 • All printmaking supplies included. Space is limited to a maximum of 8 participants.
