The James Venner Russell Portfolio Development scholars for 2013 proudly present this exhibition of the work they produced in this unique educational program. This talented group has just completed a six-month intensive session of studio studies with program coordinator and art educator Sara Griffin, BFA, BEd.

Open to students in high school who plan to pursue studies in post-secondary fine arts and fine crafts, Saint John Arts Centre’s 20-week Portfolio Development program offers a unique learning experience designed for students who are dedicated to the pursuit and study of visual art. These accomplished young artistsbenefit from professional art instruction in a well-equipped teaching studio, individual work spaces and the opportunity for to exhibit their work in this special exhibition. This invaluable experience aids students aiming for post-secondary fine arts to prepare a polished application portfolio.
