Watercolour painting techniques are explored in this fun and educational workshop with Lily Morrow. While experiencing exciting painting techniques, students learn some basic colour theory and vocabulary, and will look at how watercolour can be used in contemporary illustrations.
Some of the topics covered:
- painting on dry paper vs wet
- using salt
- lifting colour
- adding drawing elements
All materials are provided within the workshop fee, and students should wear an apron or old shirt.
Time: 10am – 12pm
Dates: Saturday mornings – September 17, 24, October 1, 15, 2022 (skips Oct. 8, Thanksgiving)
Duration: 4 weeks
Fees: $90, all supplies included
Skill level: Beginner
Capacity: maximum 10 students
About your Instructor
Lily Morrow is a young Saint John artist who has experience in teaching art to children. She is a graduate of the Saint John Arts Centre’s Portfolio Development program and is a student at the University of New Brunswick in Saint John.
