Marbling on Silk & Paper

IMPORTANT COVID POLICY UPDATE

As of Monday, February 28/22, visitors to SJAC will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination.

Please note that out of an abundance of caution, SJAC will continue to keep a mandatory mask policy in place for all programs (workshops, galleries, performing arts events, rental events) after the Public Health restrictions are lifted on March 14/22. We will continue to monitor and reassess in the coming months.

Workshop Description

Learn the basics of this mesmerizing water marbling technique with textile artist Renata Britez, as she walks you through the recipes, materials, and process to produce dynamic patterns on the surface of a water bath. At the end of this workshop, participants will leave the course with a variety of samples on paper and a beautifully finished silk scarf. Dyeing can be messy, so be sure to dress in paint/dye appropriate clothes and shoes!
